Cleaning & Restoration of Andover Guildhall
Stonewest NewsStonewest’s Special Works Dept have been appointed to clean and restore Andover Guildhall, a municipal Grade II listed building that was built in 1825 to replace the 1513 former guildhall.
Andover is one of several projects we are running outside London’s M25 and with scaffolding now erected, the restoration process, including cleaning and repair of the Bath stone exterior, is progressing at pace.
It seems the scaffolding may disappoint some of the frequent American visitors who apparently like to compare the Neoclassical architecture with the town hall in Back to the Future, but we hope the completion date will coincide with the easing of international travel restrictions.
