Project Overview
The Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital is the regions first fully comprehensive rehabilitation hospital creating the opportunity for people in the UAE to obtain world-class rehabilitative care in Abu Dhabi.
The Client acquired an existing partially built general hospital in 2016 for repurposing and with a tight timeline to complete as a fully functioning asset by 2018, the Client employed Stonewest (HK) as part of a highly specialized team with the knowledge and experience to facilitate the successful completion of the Project.
Key Successes
- The design, delivery and installation of the Jura limestone for the cladding of the GF area to all external elevations
- The design of the cladding system, including the support and restraint systems in accordance with the Architects design drawings
- Quarry visits to Germany with the Client to select the finishes to the Jura stone
- The supply and installation of the fire barrier systems
- Installation of the Jura stone cladding, including the training of local workforce to meet international standards
